LINK EXCHANGES
EXPLAINED

 |
Link exchanges is
without a doubt the most affordable and, in my opinion,
the most effective way of achieving great search engine
rankings. You'll build link popularity which is based on
the number of websites that link to you. The
more sites the higher the link popularity. |
Link
Exchange or
Reciprocal Link Exchange
is defined as a practice of exchanging links with
other websites. There are many different ways to arrange
a link exchange with webmasters. The simplest way of
doing it is to email another website owner and ask to do
a link exchange. Also visiting webmaster discussion
boards which offer a dedicated link exchange forum where
webmasters can request a link exchange be it of a
certain category or open to anybody.
Search engines
today use incoming links as a basis of determining what
a website is about. The links are based on two things.
The actual URL that the website is linking to on your
site and the 'text link'. The text link are the actual
words that someone is using for linking to your site.
In our link
exchange campaign for CreateAWebsiteOnline.com we
requested that webmasters link to
http://createawebsiteonline.com using the text
'Create A Website'.
The HTML code would
appear as: <a
href="">Create A
Website</a>
The link would appear as
Create A Website
on their website.
Link Exchange Programs
- Managing 100's if not 1000's of links can be difficult so
there are a few companies out there that have developed link
exchange applications. In my opinion the best on the market is
Arelis because it will import sites for you to contact.
It'll email the webmasters & will also tell you which sites are
no longer linking to you and email them.
They have also added some new
features that will allow you to optimize your website to ensure
that it's optimized for your specific keywords through an
automated process.
The one thing about
Arelis is that it request process is all manual so you have
to sit at your computer and work on the requests.
Automated Link Exchange
Programs - The most popular option on the market for
automated link exchange software is by far LinksManager.com. The
run a site of 1000's of users who are looking to exchange links
and the entire process is automated.
You simply install the
software on your site and link to it from within your site.
People then fill out the form themselves including the page
that's linking to your site. The software will verify that the
link is there notify them them if it's removed. It's actually a
very nice application for building a network of reciprocal
links. -->
